    Diving in to creatively solve a problem roof

    Located at the Howard M. Terpenning Recreation Complex, the Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center in Beaverton, Oregon, features a 50-meter pool that provides recreational and instructional programs for all ages. With its existing roof rusting and deteriorating, the natatorium owner wanted a new roof that would control sound, match the existing aesthetics, come with a warranty, and still be in-line with budgetary constraints. New Millennium dove right in to the project.

    Solving an Outdoor Design Challenge

    Marmon Mok Architecture, the architect of a 6,500 sq. ft. outdoor gymnasium for the Harvey E. Najim Family YMCA in San Antonio, TX, had an ambitious vision for the exposed structure enclosing the space. The Engineer of Record, Thomas Hamer of Alpha Consulting Engineers, took on the design challenge and searched for a steel provider that could make it a reality.

    Seeing Joists From Another Angle

    A curved wall under construction at the Packey Webb Ford Dealership in Downers Grove, Illinois, uses barrel joists in a unique way to deliver a branded, architectural statement.

    An expanding car dealership wanted to make a branded statement with the architecture of its new location in Downers Grove, Illinois. With the help of New Millennium Building Systems, it will get a visually striking, curved structure to deliver its message. The Ford brand wall uses barrel joists cladded in plywood connected with a custom truss system to bridge the members.

    The Bridge Over the Caloosahatchee

    2017 promises to be a year of increased infrastructure spending. New Millennium was selected to provide Rhino-Dek®, its polymer-coated, stay-in-place deck form system for the widening of the bridge over Florida’s Caloosahatchee National Wildlife Refuge.

    Learn how time and money were saved and the state’s second-largest manatee habitat was preserved thanks to an innovative, fully pre-fabricated connection system that crews simply dropped into place by hand on the steel girder top flange.

    A major renovation of White Plains Hospital, a 123-year-old healthcare facility 25 miles north of Manhattan, featured 33' clear, unobstructed ceiling planes above five new operating rooms. To achieve this, a 13″-deep Versa-Floor™ Deep-Dek® Composite system was installed, helping to save lives and winning acclaim.

    Healthcare facilities present some of the most complex structural and architectural design challenges specific to patient care. For example, plans must include high-performing floors designed to support heavy booms over operating rooms and limit vibration that could adversely affect sensitive equipment readings.
