STEEL JOISTS
Open-web design reduces costs and accelerates project timelines.
With six joist-fabrication facilities serving the commercial construction industry, we’re one of the largest providers of structural steel joists and joist girders in North America.
Engineered for strength, efficiency, and long-span performance, steel joists are lightweight, prefabricated trusses used to support roof and floor systems in commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. The open-web design of steel joists enables streamlined integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services. New Millennium manufactures steel joists in accordance with the specifications of the Steel Joist Institute (SJI).
Standard Joists and Girders
Steel joists and girders serve as primary framing members with simple spans to support concentrated loads for roofs and floors in steel construction.
Special Profile Joists
Our steel joists are available in a variety of special architectural profiles, including gable, bowstring, arched, scissor, double-pitched, and triple-pitched. These profiles allow for unique architectural designs.
Composite Joists (CJ-Series)
Open spans, long spans, increased strength-to-weight ratios, enhanced stiffness, and cost-effectiveness make our CJ-Series joists ideal for multi-story construction projects.
Flush-Frame Connections
Steel joists with flush-frame connections offer significant weight savings compared to wide-flange beams while providing equivalent stiffness and vibration performance.
WN-Series® Wood-Nailer Joists
A steel and wood hybrid product, WN-Series® Joists utilize glued finger joint splices to maintain structural continuity the full length of the joist. This innovative design produces a stronger, more-efficient, better-performing wood-nailer joist.
NewBayTM Bridging System
Install steel joist bridging in metal building construction quickly, easily, and more cost-effectively—without welding—using the NewBayTM bridging system.
